Here are some examples of new and past garden center displays we’ve come across. Bradford Greenhouses goes all out for the holidays and comes up with amazingly creative displays throughout their store. From elaborate Tuincentrum kerstshow displays to little villages complete with Santa, this garden center knows how to attract customers during the holidays. These displays are meant to give customers some decorating ideas, as most of the decorations on the display can also be bought.

Pedestrians can use either the entrance at 1800 Glenallan Avenue or the entrance via the path at 2000 Shorefield Road near the Wheaton Regional Park playground. You must have purchased tickets in advance online for every person five years of age and older in your group. Once you have a schedule, make sure that your buying team is pre-registered for all the shows you will be attending. One person can usually register for the whole group. Have the shows send out their directory books and show specials beforehand. This allows you to highlight the vendors you absolutely need to visit as well as some new vendors that pique your interest.

If you require assistance on your visit, please purchase a Special Assistance Ticket online and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs. Babies in arms may ride free when part of an accompanying group. A minimum 1 adult and 1 child ticket must be purchased but baby in arms will not receive a present.

Although staff were friendly and helpful, they couldn’t stick around with you long enough to help you examine the trees. At Bremec, trees were organized in rows and suspended by ropes so customers could twirl them and see all sides. Trees included color-coded tags indicating price and size, as well. It was easy to find someone to take the tree down, trim the stump, carry it and secure it on your car.

Visitors arriving by ride share must use the entrance at 1800 Glenallan Avenue. If you take the Shorefield path, you will park your bike at the entrance gate to Brookside Gardens’ Garden of Lights. The lit path to the Visitor Center is approximately half a mile or an eight-minute walk or two-minute bike ride. It begins in the parking lot near the playground at Wheaton Regional Park’s Shorefield entrance at 2000 Shorefield Road. Repeat Step 3 for each ticket that you want to transfer.

We’ve seen this before at other garden centers, but Antal was excited to show her son the tree names. He picked one named Zoey, which also happens to be the name of his cousin’s dog. Despite the cold winter outside, the Conservatory boasts a tropical paradise, one of the largest indoor decorated trees in Washington, D.C., and a showcase of poinsettia and their plant cousins. It wouldn’t be the winter holiday season without the fantasy train display in the East Gallery, which chugs along a track through imaginative structures created with plant materials. Explore the seven seas, using lighthouses to navigate your way through this year’s scenic wonderland.

Stop by Brookside Gardens’ Visitor Center, 1800 Glenallan Avenue, before your visit, and information desk staff will assist you in buying tickets online. In-person ticketing assistance is available at the Visitor Center daily 9 am to 3 pm. The Garden of Lights display transforms Brookside Gardens into a magical winter wonderland. If you have a loyalty scheme you can show customers how much you appreciate them by sending them a holiday greetings card, sweeten the gesture by including a special discount. If you have an e-newsletter you can send out a digital holiday greetings card to customers with special offers. Even if you can’t do either of these you can still include holiday greetings and offers on your website, blog or social media.

We recommend that you dress warmly for the weather so that you can enjoy the lights for as long as you’d like. If you expect to arrive within 30 minutes of your arrival time slot, there is no need to call to inform us or to reschedule. If you are running significantly late, please give us a call so that we can change your ticket times to reflect your arrival time and open up tickets for other folks. If you are running late to the last time slot, you may want to consider rescheduling for another night. We also have everything you need to decorate your tree and house during the holidays! Visit our gift shop to find thousands of ornaments, tree fillers, ribbon choices, and decorations for your home.

Do your research, create a game plan, work the vendors, source unique items and oh yeah, be ready to work from morning to night. Follow the aforementioned steps and you can guarantee yourself a successful, profitable buying excursion. While our buyers will cut their best deals throughout the buying day, they do not purchase until attending an end-of-the-day meeting. Even though each buyer has their individual responsibilities, we meet to make sure there are no overlapping purchases. An end-of-day meeting is also beneficial in that you can bounce ideas off one another once again.
